Come to Ahoskie, North Carolina to see "Our Little City" Bearfield Primary School. What a wonderful school with 900 children and a dedicated staff of 135. It has been such a pleasure to be the leader of this wonderful school where children truly come first. Step inside and feel the Bear pride as we teach, learn and love.

When I tuned into WITN, an WITN interview was in progress with a young student. I was so impressed with the student's composure, articulation and delivery. As the program continued, I learned it was "How cool is your school" at Stateside Elementary. These children are outstanding role models. It was so neat to see these attributes in elementary students and the obvious achievements of that school, its staff, parents and children!

Pamlico County High School is the best High School in Eastern North Carolina. We have one of the lowest drop out rates, the highest graduation rates and above average students. We also have one of the lowest suspension rates in the state. Can we say "top of the class" in every way?? The teachers are loving and nurturing, as well as supportive. We think that we are already one of the "coolest schools" around! I love watching "How Cool is Your School" and think that Pamlico County High School should definitely be your next stop! Just this year the entire student body was given laptops to take home to do school work on. We use them in the classroom to integrate technology into EVERY class. Definitely a 21st century institution. We are developing the future of tomorrow to be successful and knowledgeable! Come to our school! We're the Best!!

Bearfield Primary School has often been described as a city within a city because of our large population. We are a PreK-3 primary school with about 1000 students!!! It would seem that that this is such a large number that we wouldn't know each other but that is on the contrary. Our principal,Julie Shields, knows each and every student by name and family. She knows each and every teacher, teacher assistant, custodian, cafeteria worker, bus driver, office worker, etc. We are a big, happy family at Bearfield Primary. If you want to see for yourself, please come out to Ahoskie to see the city within the city. We'd love to have you!!!

My school has good sportsmanship. We have great teachers. We have plenty of activities. We have good behavior. We have alot of parties and things in that nature. We have a whole lot of fundraisers. We have raised money for cancer , breast cancer , American heart association, etc. We do alot of projects and experiments and we have great food here. Our teachers are hard working with us. They help us however we need it. They don't put us down. They always tell us to to keep trying and never give up even when we feel like giving up. They tell us to keep our head up and keep trying. I was doing real bad on my tests but now i am doing well. I used too do really bad in math but now i worked my way up to a 3! I think you should come to our school because we have alot of good things here. We dress up on some days. They let us participate in alot of stuff. We have good grades here. We have sock hops where we go in the gym, take off our shoes, and we dance. We have things outside in the summer where we go outside and the girls play football and the boys are cheerleaders. We have computers. We have alot of fun here. We have a cool principal that participates in things with us not like other principals that sit around and do nothing. He actually participate in things with us such as when we have basketball games during school when we have the teachers play basketball against the students. Sometimes they win and sometimes we win but at the end of the day everything we go through at our school makes us much closer. At WCU, we are all a family. It doesn't matter what race u are or gender. We all love each other and come together as one.
