Hispanic Specialty Store Robbed In Jacksonville
Police are searching for a gunman who robbed a Jacksonville store Tuesday night.
The La Canasta, a Hispanic specialty store on Bell Fork Road, was held up around 7:45 p.m. when the robber came in and demanded cash from the clerk. He ran from the store toward Market Street with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The gunman is described as a black man, dark skinned with a slim build, approximately 5’8” and 170 pounds. His hair was short and he is described as having a deep voice. He was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, baggy jeans.
Police say anyone with information should contact them at 910-938-6405. Crimestoppers, at 910-938-3273, offers rewards of up to $2,500 for information leading to arrest.
