Troopers said shattered glass covered Highway 258 during the morning commute.

Troopers say William Glancy had loaded his truck with glass windows for transport from The National Plate Company to an Advanced Auto Parts Store in Jacksonville.

Investigators said near the intersection of Highway 258 and Pony Farm Road, the driver in front of Glancy swerved out of the lane around 7A.M., forcing Glancy to brake hard. That shifted the wet windows out of the truck, and they shattered along Highway 258.

Glancy has been charged with failure to secure a load.
