Holly Ridge residents can run their taps without worry Thursday.
The Onslow Water and Sewer Authority had issued a boil water advisory as crews are doing an emergency repair to waterlines on East Ocean Road.
On Thursday morning, ONWASA said test results from the water came back fine, giving the all clear for consumers to stop boiling water used for consumption.
If you are making coffee or brushing your teeth in Holly Ridge Wednesday morning, be aware of a boil water advisory in the area.
The Onslow Water and Sewer Authority, or ONWASA, has issued a boil water advisory as crews are doing an emergency repair to waterlines on East Ocean Road.
Officials said the work could introduce the possibility of contamination, and they are advising those living on roads listed below boil any water used for consumption for at least a minute.
Those who are affected are consumers in Holly Ridge on:
- East Ocean Rd. from South Smith St. to Burroughs Rd.
- Trout St.
- Bass St.
- Bream St.
- Chub St.
- Dwight St.
- Cypress Ave.
- Brent Ave.
- Bumblebee Ln.
- Burroughs St.
Other customers may have low to no water pressure.
ONWASA said the advisory is in effect until further notice.
