An Onslow County couple is behind bars after deputies say they were operating a meth lab in their home with a child.
Michael and Robin Farester of Spring Villa Drive are facing a number of drug charges and a child abuse/neglect charge after deputies completed a two month investigation.
Deputies got a search warrant for the couple's home in the Southwest community. The husband and child were at home at the time. Inside deputies found an inactive meth lab, along with chemicals used to make the drug.
The child was taken to Onslow Memorial Hospital to be evaluated while special teams were brought in to clean up the meth lab.
The Farester's were jailed on $275,000 bonds.
