The new fiscal year will brings some changes within the City of Jacksonville Government.
City Manager Richard Woodruff has named Mike Yaniero to assume the new position of Public Safety Director and Chief of Police following the resignation of Fire Chief Rick McIntyre to assume the same position in High Point.
In an effort to improve customer service and as part of a new program that allows persons seeking plan approvals or permits from the City to submit plans in digital formats, City Manager Richard Woodruff also has announced a new program to create a central permitting system. The changes are designed to streamline the process with economy, more efficiency and more effectiveness.
Ryan King has been named the Division Director. He currently serves as Planning Administrator for the City.
The retirement of William Ratliff as Human Services Director created a vacancy that will be filled by Kimberly Lindsay, SPHR. She has been named as the new Chief Human Resource Officer for the City.
