Officials at Camp Lejeune celebrated the opening of a new $29 million center for wounded warriors and their families with a robbon cutting Friday morning.
The 37,000-square-foot center serves wounded, ill and injured Marines, sailors and their families.
The center has areas for medical and mental health case management as well as recovery care centers. It will host a warrior athlete reconditioning program and include offices for Veterans Affairs representatives, Department of Labor representatives, education specialists, chaplain programs and family support specialists.
