The system has resumed normal operations."
There is a boil water advisory for White Oak Estates subdivision in Onslow County.
ONWASA officials report emergency repairs to a water main are causing periods of low pressure and outages prompting the advisory.
Only customers in the White Oak Estates subdivision are affected.
All water used for human consumption -- including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes or food preparation -- should be boiled until further notice or customers should use bottled water.
Officials say vigorous boiling for one minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
