Some Onslow County beach residents are being told to boil their water before using it for human consumption.

ONWASA says homes on North Topsail Beach, from Sea Gull Lane to the end of the island may have low pressure, or no water due to a repair in the area. After water is restored, ONWASA says those residents should use bottled water or boil their water for one minute for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes or preparing food.

Tests on the system will have to be done before the boil water advisory is lifted.
