Authorities have identified a man whose body was found in a burned home on Tuesday, but we still don't know why he died.

Onslow County Sheriff Ed Brown says fire crews were called around 9:15 a.m. to the home at 264 Parnell Road in Hubert.

He said while firefighters were putting out the fire, the 41-year old man's body was discovered.

The Onslow County Medical Examiner's Office confirms the identity as Matthew Underwood, who is listed as the owner of the home.

An autopsy was to be performed Wednesday morning on Underwood's body.

A news release this morning from Brown's office says they have determined there is no threat to the community.
