New Developments In Decades Old Murder

The Onslow County Sheriff's Office hopes to crack a 19 year-old murder case with reconstruction photos of what the victim may have looked like.

The photos show a woman with long brown or blonde hair, possibly between 20 and 30-years-old. It was 1991 when hunters discovered skeleton remains in Bear Creak.

The sheriff's office says after receiving a tip last month, investigators traveled to Florida to conduct several interviews in the case where they say they learned beneficial information. The Sheriff's Office also says they found information that may be helpful in the case while investigating the January 10th murder of John Smallwood in Hubert.

If you have any information in this case you can call the Onslow County Sheriff's Office at 910-455-3113.

I was reading a story about a family in MO.who recently found there missing daughter after 20 some years. It was through a TV show the "forgotten" and they were looking at a web site nameus. I wonder if this information could help clear up some of the cases in Onslow and other places? I tried too pull up the site but had no luck. Wish them luck in finding out who she is.
