Suddenly the plot of a movie that just came out, LAW ABIDING CITIZEN, doesn't seem so outrageous. It's about a DA who plea bargains and lets one of two men who killed a man's wife and daughter walk free. Turns out the guy's a former spymaster, and he sets out to make the system pay. It's just a fantasy film, but it has an important message: criminals shouldn't get to negotiate for lesser sentences; justice should be served.

counseling will not cure this offender.there is no evidence in long or short term studies to indicate counseling has any effect on sexual predators.

The legal drinking age is 21 in nc. Where were the parents? This man can really use some counseling. Jail time and fines won't cure his illness.

It looks like the prosecuting atty is too lazy or sorry to handle the case . What happend to life for rape , or was it 20 years? I think this area needs a new prosecuting atty.
