A week before Christmas and armed robbers have targeted a thrift store that helps the needy.

Swansboro police say the robbers made off with two bank bags with checks and cash inside. It happened at Hem of His Garment Thrift Store on Highway 24 around 7:20 a.m.Thursday.

Police say the gunmen were armed with a small semi automatic hand gun and driving a dark green sedan, possibly a Dodge Intrepid.

events like this does upset the Lord but, he's seen events during wars that would make your stomach turn inside out. Stealing, robbing is sin and I believe God will take revenge and these lost cases will suffer for their consequences. God will not be mocked and vengenace is his, he will repay. Thank you God for protecting the workers here. Bless them financially and spiritually. Save the ones who did this. Jesus came to save this lost & dying world. The ones who go to hell are ones who ultimately deny him and his word (commandments etc.).

Perhaps the workers at this store should heed the words of their Lord, and arm themselves... Luke 22:36-38 (King James Version) 36. Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Is it just me, or does it seem that armed robberies are much more common now than just two years ago and that they are happening more in locations that you used to have low crime rates?

Stealing from a Church affiliated thrift shop that uses its proceeds to help the poor. There are some sorry, sorry, people out there these days. Rest assured it's all tied up in drugs. We need the death penalty for all those who illegally abuse, sell, distribute, and manufacture illegal drugs. These people are slowly killing us all!
