Woman Purse Snatcher Nabbed In Jacksonville

A woman purse snatcher? Police say it happened Tuesday morning three times in Jacksonville.

Police say Tabitha Hamm is charged with three counts of purse snatching.

They say the first theft happened around 5:00 a.m. Tuesday morning in the Kensington Drive area. The victim was out walking her dog when she was approached by a woman who asked to borrow her cell phone. After returning the phone, the woman grabbed the victim's purse and made off in a vehicle.

An hour later, the same thing happened at the Walmart Shopping Plaza on Western Boulevard...and then again around 7:50 a.m. at the Food Lion at the end of Western Boulevard.

Police say in all three cases the victims were able to provide them with comprehensive physical descriptions of the woman which helped them make an arrest.

I know I would not give them any of my money unless I could tell that they were really desparate. Anonymous, I think you may be going a bit overboard with all that. I doubt it will spread by sharing cell phones.

Swallow your pride and beg if you have to. Don't violate these poor innocent people and take advantage of their kindness. I'm sure they would have gladly given you five bucks if you asked nicely.

Way to go and stereotype WITN!, "a woman purse snatcher?". Not every purse snatcher is a dude! But I guess you think so. Way to go WITN.

With all the flu's going around, not to mention the other infectious diseases going around, I don't lend my cell phone to anyone and I don't use anyone else's cell phone either. It's a good practice, this just reinforces it!!
