A woman purse snatcher? Police say it happened Tuesday morning three times in Jacksonville.
Police say Tabitha Hamm is charged with three counts of purse snatching.
They say the first theft happened around 5:00 a.m. Tuesday morning in the Kensington Drive area. The victim was out walking her dog when she was approached by a woman who asked to borrow her cell phone. After returning the phone, the woman grabbed the victim's purse and made off in a vehicle.
An hour later, the same thing happened at the Walmart Shopping Plaza on Western Boulevard...and then again around 7:50 a.m. at the Food Lion at the end of Western Boulevard.
Police say in all three cases the victims were able to provide them with comprehensive physical descriptions of the woman which helped them make an arrest.
