Former Onslow County Manager Gets New Job In Triangle

The former Onslow County manager, who was forced to resign last year, has a new job.

Orange County commissioners Tuesday night appointed Frank Clifton as county manager.

Clifton, who had been serving Orange County as interim manager since June 15th, resigned his job in Onslow County in March 2008.

He will be paid $161,200 a year in Orange County, while he made $144,000 a year in Onslow County.

Orange County has a population of 126,500 people and is west of Durham.
