Mother And Son Charged With Murder And Conspiracy

The Onslow County Sheriff's Office says a mother and her son from Hubert are behind bars, charged with murder and conspiracy.

Victoria Hernandez, 41 years-old, and her 20 year-old son Ricardo are charged with stabbing 33 year-old Ardelio Mayo Mayo to death.

Detectives say the stabbing happened Friday at 159 NC Highway 172. They say they found both Victoria and her son near the home with dried blood on their clothes. Officers also say they found sufficient evidence to support probable cause for murder and felony conspiracy charges.

The sheriff's office says both suspects are illegal aliens. Immigrations Customs Enforcement has requested that both Victoria and Ricardo be confined in the Onslow County Jail until they could investigate their status.

Silly, I never said anything about race, I said that illegal immigrants are just that, Illegal. They are not supposed to be in the US, so the law was broken by them being here. What's race got to do with illegal immigration anyways. Illegals could be from any country in the world.

Being here undocumented is breaking the law. Illegals break the law 100% of the time without exception.

Scott, I don't think it is always illegals. I see some whites and blacks also breaking the law. What color was the man that robbed them people? What color were the couple in Bath?

Illegals always commit a crime, that's why they are ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. I have no issue with a foreigner immigrating legally. All the proper channels; green card, immigration tests, legal citizen. What I do have a problem with is illegal being here paying no taxes, with 4 or 5 kids like doorsteps that we have to provide for because they are citizens since they were born here. If your parents aren't legal then the child shouldn't be either. By legal I mean either born here or naturalized.

I just wanted to say a few nice things about Ardelio. He was a customer of mine and came by 2 or 3 times a week. Always had a smile on his face and was very friendly. We knew him to be LEGAL and a responsible customer. He had recently started up his own landscaping business and seemed to be doing well. Of course, I knew him in a very limited capacity, but I was sick when I found out Friday night that he had been murdered. And it bothers me how people can be so callous, judgemental and just make blanket statements about people they don't know and make assumptions based on other people's ethnic background. This was not some ragdoll found on the side of the road. This was HUMAN BEING.

To be fair,, we should treat illegal immigrants the same way they do in Mexico.

It is truly amazing that so many bigots complain about illegal immigrants and don't have a clue about the truth of the matter. You complain about them speaking english when you can't even SPELL correctly, and you went to school here. You complain about their role in crimes, when statistics would indicate that proportionately they commit far fewer crimes than our ciizens. You complain about them taking jobs away from us but don't realize that they do the menial jobs that our lazy, on welfare, freeloading society doesn't want anyway. In fact your cost of living would be far higher if you didn't have the illegal farm workers picking your food. Most of the Hispanic people I have had the pleasure to meet are humble, hard working and honest folks. They contribute far more to our quality of life than they take from our system. Bigots need to leave them alone and be thankful for their contributions.
