Troopers say the wreck remains under investigation and charges are pending against the driver of the truck.

A five-lane highway in Onslow County has reopened to traffic after a deadly wreck involving 6 vehicles.

Authorities say the wreck happened on Highway 258 around 11:30 a.m., just past Pony Farm Road. Emergency management says rain may have played a part in the accident.

The crash involved a log truck and five other vehicles. Authorities say one person has died.

Jeff, also when I was at the Outer Banks, Hwy 12 was listed on the signs as 12 North and 12 South. 12 is a even number.

Okay, the headline says that someone was identified but when you open the story and video, no one is identified. What's up WITN?

Hwy 258 is also Hwy 24 thru that part. Cops usually say it goes east-west in that section.

Hwy 258 is a North/South highway. How could the truck be Eastbound, and the cars be Westbound?
