Camp Lejeune Marines Head To New York

Marines from a North Carolina base are joining other service members in New York for the 20th Fleet Week to celebrate the nation's sea services.

More than 900 members of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Force from Camp Lejeune arrived last week in New York.

The Marines will display equipment, including an MV-22 Osprey that will fly across the city's airspace.

Marines also will stage helicopter raids at Coney Island and Flushing Meadows.

The servicemen will take part in various Memorial Day parades Monday and are scheduled to depart Wednesday.
