More than 200 athletes turned up at Northside High School in Jacksonville Friday to compete in the Onslow County Special Olympics.
Athletes ages 5 to 32 showed off their skills in the 50 meter dash, softball throw, long jump, shot put and many other sporting events.
Awards were handed out to all athletes that competed.
There are currently more than 1.7 million children and adults with intellectual disabilities who are training to compete in Special Olympics.
