US Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood announced a $13. 6 million dollar F.A.A. grant to construct a new terminal at Albert J. Ellis airport in Jacksonville.
The FAA Airport Improvement program grant will commit a total of $24.6 million to replace the current passenger terminal originally built in 1971.
Construction is expected to begin in December and last about 18 months.
