Yard Debris Fire Spreads To Four Acres

Authorities say people burning debris in their yard lost control of the fire over the weekend sparking a four acre blaze in Hyde County.

The fire burned land near Wysocking Wildlife Reserve. The fire didn't burn any federal land.

It took about three hours Saturday to get the fire contained and firefighters were on the scene Sunday to make sure that it was completely out.

Authorities say those responsible are not being charged but were given a warning.
