In Pitt County there is a report that a tree has fallen into some apartments at the Wallwood Apartments on 14th Street in Greenville. The tenants are reported to be uninjured, but the apartment is now flooding.
A possible tornado was reported near Highway 64 in the Tyrrell County town of Columbia. Law enforcement reports structural damage with injuries reported.
In Beaufort County, a possible tornado was reported in Belhaven. There are reports of structural damage to multiple trailers along Bay Street. Also in Belhaven, there is a report the roof was blown off Edgewater Motors.
The pier at the Sheraton in Atlantic Beach was damaged, as were other piers on the Crystal Coast including the Bogue Inlet Pier in Emerald Isle.
In Kinston several people were rescued from their home at Caswell and Orion after a tree fell shortly before 7:00 a.m. The people inside were not hurt and they were taken to a shelter.
