Police Search For Drive-Thru Break-In Pair

Police are asking for the community's help to track down a pair of crooks who broke into a fast food restaurant.

The Roanoke-Chowan News Herald reports on Friday, July 26th, two men broke into the Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers on Memorial Drive in Ahoskie.

Police tell the paper the two men broke in through a window at 4:15 a.m. on the drive-through side of the building and tried to crack the safe, but could not.

Reports say security video caught a glimpse of the duo. Both are black men. One man described as having a lighter complexion with a short to medium afro haircut. The second man was medium to heavy-set according to police.

The paper said the safe and one security camera were damaged in the break-in.
