The Weyerhaeuser Lumber Mill was not fully operational Wednesday, a day after fire broke out.
The plant, which is on the Martin-Washington county line, caught fire around 2pm Tuesday.
Weyerhaeuser spokeswoman Nancy Thompson says the fire broke out near the planer mill area and was contained late Tuesday afternoon.
Crews monitored hot-spots throughout the night until Wednesday morning.
Thompson tells us the damage is not as extensive as they first thought, but could not give us any specifics on the type of damage the plant received.
Thompson says the mill was partially open Wednesday and hoped to be fully operational by the end of the week.
Three fire departments from two counties are battling a fire this afternoon at a lumber mill in Washington County.
Fire broke out around 2:00 p.m. at the Weyehaeuser lumber mill outside of Plymouth.
Nancy Thompson, Weyerhaeuser public affairs manager, tells WITN everyone was evacuated safely and there are no reports of injuries. The mill is across the road from the Domtar paper mill.
Thompson told WITN there was no damage estimate late Tuesday afternoon. 175 people work at the Weyerhaeuser facility.
