Ocracoke basketball has come along way in the past few years. There are so many people who have helped the program grow into what it is now and what it will soon become. Echo is not only a great player for ocracoke, but a great team leader as well. We have alot of talent on the team and everyone is excited for the future of Ocracoke basketball. Lucy is starting to come into her own and will be a great player in the future for Ocracoke. The thing to remember is that have a whole team of great players. Echo is more than deserving of this award. Go Dolphins!!

You mean Ocracoke has basketball. I figured all they had was surfing, fishing, and other water sports.

Echo is a senior and leads the team in scoring so she is just as deserving... If I'm not mistaken Lucy is a freshman or sophomore which means she has plenty of time to claim her own player of the week honor. How about you quit hating and start congratulating!

What spoil-sports! This is the time to congratulate Echo. Pettiness and jabs can be done on tween websites and forums. I congratulate an obviously deserving young lady on her, her team-mates and coaches! Go Ocracoke!
