Pamlico County Schools Superintendent: He Resigned To Save Jobs

A school superintendent in the east says he's resigning to save jobs that would otherwise be lost due to budget cuts.

The Pamlico County Board of Education announced Dr. James Coon will resign August 1st after 2.5 years as superintendent. The Associate Superintendent, Dr. Wanda Dawson, will become superintendent with a four year contract. She has served Pamlico schools since 1980.
