Fire Destroys Vacant House

An abandoned house caught fire Sunday night in Perquimans County.

The Daily Advance reports the three-story house was destroyed in the blaze. The fire was reported just after 6:30 p.m. at 409 Market St. in Hertford.

Crews from three fire departments responded, and no was injured.

The paper says the fire is under investigation.
