Elizabeth City Police are investigating an odd case where someone apparently dug up skeletal remains and relocated them.
The Elizabeth City Police Department says it happened at the Old Oak Grove Cemetery. Someone apparently removed remains from a grave site and re-buried them in the back of the cemetery. The newly buried remains were found by a maintenance employee.
Police are trying to identify the original grave site so the remains can be properly buried.
