Fire In Gates County Turns Fatal, Police Investigating

We are gathering details about a house fire in Gates County that killed a 41-year-old man.

George Woosly's body was found on the second floor of his burned home in the Gates County town of Corapeake, at the intersection of NC 32 and Daniels Road, according to the Roanoke Chowan News Herald, which says the fire started Saturday morning in the 100 year old house. The fire is under investigation but the paper said police don't consider it suspicious.
