Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Hertford, Currituck, Northampton, Pasquotank and Perquimans counties are included in the watch.
Low pressure will track northeast along the Atlantic seaboard through Wednesday morning, bringing rainfall amounts of one to two inches are likely with locally higher amounts possible.
The rainfall may lead to flooding of small creeks, streams and rivers in addition to urban flood prone areas.
