A convicted felon released from prison less than three weeks ago is behind bars again, charged with two shootings. Nineteen-year-old Dominick Jordan is charged with shooting two men since his release.
Published reports say the Elizabeth City man is behind bars under a $1.6 million bond. Police say they found a man shot three times in the Belk parking lot of the Southgate Mall in Elizabeth City at 1 a.m. Tuesday. He'd been forced to withdraw money from an ATM, and his car was stolen.
Police say they found and chased Jordan in the stolen car. He was already wanted for a shooting on Lane Street on Thanksgiving day.
