9 Arrested In Drug Bust

A public parks image may be tarnished now that several people have been arrested there for drugs and prostitution.

Nine people were arrested in Columbia in Tyrrell County after NC ALE and Tyrrell County Sheriff’s targeted Columbia Municipal Park on Foscoe Street in Columbia.

People charged include:

Steven D. Childress who is charged with one count of sell and deliver cocaine, two counts of sale of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park, and two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine.

Eddie L. Collins Jr. is charged with one count of possession with intent to sell cocaine and one count of sale of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park.

Darius S. Hassell is charged with one count of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and one count of sell and deliver of marijuana.

Bobby J. Moore is charged with three counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, one count possession with intent to sell marijuana and four counts of sale of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park.

Milton N. Moore is charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and two counts of sale and deliver of cocaine.

Ciara S. Spencer is charged with one count of loitering for prostitution.

Carolyn D. Gray is charged with two counts of conspiracy to sell cocaine, two counts of maintaining a dwelling for the sale of a controlled substance.

Steven D. Spruill is charged with one count of sell and deliver of cocaine, one count of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and one count of maintaining a vehicle for the sale of a controlled substance. A 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe was seized from Spruill.

Roosevelt C. Waller is charged with one count of possession with intent to sell cocaine, one count of sale of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park, one count of possession with intent to sell a controlled substance and one count of sell and deliver of a controlled substance.

    this is just nice a few of these people were arrested for the same thing about two to three weeks ago.

    I am so glad Tyrrell and Martin county is cleaning up the drug traffic. I hope it stops some of it coming to the Outer Banks and Hyde.I just wished the surrounding counties would join in with the forces.
