Lawmen are looking for two men in connection with a shooting in Halifax County.

The Sheriff's Office is searching for 29-year-old Charles Hockaday from Roanoke Rapids and 23-year-old Alston Parker from Roanoke Rapids.

Lawmen say the two had "an exchange of words" with 44-year-old Maggie Graham of Roanoke Rapids after which she was shot. It happened off Highway 48 Sunday.

Officials tell WITN News Graham was shot in the upper chest and arm, and she is in stable condition following surgery.

Officials say the suspects are armed and dangerous and ask anyone with information to contact the Halifax County Sheriff's Office or Crimestoppers.
