We're gathering details about the death of a duck hunter, officials say he drowned in a creek near Winfall.
Crews pulled the body of 65 year-old Thomas Brock of Elizabeth City out of Chapel Creek off the Perquiman's River near Winfall Thursday, that's according to the Daily Advance. The paper says officials believe Brock went into the creek to get his duck hunting gear that had fallen out of his canoe when it tipper over.
Officials say Brock went under in water that's about 7 or 8 feet deep.
