Greenville 13U All-Stars Tripped Up By Currituck

Henderson - Currituck topped the Greenville All-Stars in the 13U ENC Babe Ruth State Tournament, 7-6 on Saturday then beat Greenville on Sunday to advance to the championship round.

Henderson - The Greenville 13U All-Stars took down West Raleigh 10-5 Friday to improve to 2-0 in the ENC Babe Ruth Tournament being played in Henderson, NC.

Nathan King was 3-4 while Erin Bautista went 3-4 with 4 RBI's. Zack Banks and Aaron Martin were solid in relief to lead Greenville to the win.

Greenville plays again Saturday at 3:30pm against Currituck County.

Henderson - Greenville's 13U All-Stars dominated Lumberton 11-1 to open play in the ENC Babe Ruth State Tournament in 6 innings Thursday night.

The game didn't end until after 10:30pm even though it was originally scheduled to be played at noon. Lumberton didn't receive the revised tournament bracket that moved the game to the earlier time so they were late to arrive in Henderson. The game time was moved to 9pm.

All three Greenville All-Star teams posted big wins to open their respective tournaments.
