Patricia, we are all well aware that you owned it, you can keep your excuses and that overused line. More than most folks? Most folks are not criminals that steal from innocent people.

How can someone in town know her for 20 years? As far as I know she has not been here that long, and she is not a native. (I know of her, and her family). Just an observation. She has done a crime, and that is just sad so we can only hope something good can come of it somehow. The community center serves children and families for goodness sake. Jay - true comments. DGK - I also agree with you. When can we expect more updates on this story WITN?

to Anonymous- as I stated..she owns her sins and is ready to do what she has to. she has not asked for any thing but what is due her by the justice system. unlike others...she is ready to make it right on her own, plus give it all back, PLUS do what the justice sytems states. the purpose behind judge not lest ye be judged is that if you do not know her then how can you speak about what her"intentions" might have been in your eyes.only God knows what is in her heart and he is the one to hold ultimate judgement this woman. She is ready to do as mans law prevails openly. And you need to check your records. I have known her for 20 years. there is no checkered past.

"Judge not lest ye be judged"-This is the verse so many use to try to shame Christians for discerning poor behavior, ethics, and morality. Patricia will be judged, and no matter what any of us think they will have the final say in court. Patricia may have come forward, but she has stolen from her own community, friends and family. Being "bipolar" (a mood disorder characterized by depressive and manic episodes) may be her excuse, but in the courts eyes it is not a proper defense because she still knew the difference between right and wrong. The justice system will take control and do what is right, investigate her checkered past and the truth will finally come out on this womans lifetime of dishonesty. These excuses goven by her "friend" are not a reason to steal. Please tell that to the court, and see how sorry they feel for you Patricia! By embezzeling from your community let us all hope that justice is indeed served by paying your time in jail, and are branded a felon for life.

The bible states..judge not lest ye be judged. this crime-she has owned. and she was the one to come forward with it all. She also asked for no help. She has the funds to pay it all back as well. She is not well, agreed and diagnosed with severe depression and bipolar. plus a heavy family load that test her daily. letting an illness go long term with no medications as she was ashamed of her illness...she began seeking medical help and came forward to own her sins. this I know as fact. for years she has dealt with deep depression but always ALWAYS put everyone else first. she let herself go in the worst possible way but has been trying to make it right since february when she came forward with it all.
