A Washington County teacher has been charged for allegedly running a shot house out of her home.
Windsor police tell WITN News Plymouth High School teacher Bertha Valentine faces several charges, including the sale of alcohol without a permit and a town ordinance violation.
Windsor authorities say Valentine and her brother were running an illegal business in a barn outside their home in Windsor.
When police showed up on February 6, they say they found about 35 people in the barn, drinking and gambling. Authorities also say drug transactions were taking place for about 3 months.
When we spoke with Washington County School Superintendent Dr. Julius Walker, he said Valentine was still working because she hadn't gone to court yet and that's what his attorneys advised since it was a personnel issue.
