Two men are accused of robbing and trying to kill a 75-year-old Conway woman.

Northampton County lawmen arrested 18-year old Devin Pallone and 24-year old Justin Treakle. The Sheriff's Office says the 75-year old victim was the suspects' landlord, and they lived next door to her in Conway. She called 911 around 1:00 a.m. Thursday, October 6th saying she had been beaten. The woman told deputies she was hit, choked, blacked out, and woke up in the trunk of her car. Lawmen say gasoline had been poured around the car. Her home was ransacked and cash and other items were taken. The two suspects were arrested Thursday afternoon and their bonds are set at 400-thousand dollars cash.

The victim was treated at the hospital and is expected to be okay.

What a bunch of lowlifes. Instead of getting a job and living their life the correct way, they choose to take advantage of an elderly person and caused harm to her. They should be put away forever. Anyone that can abuse the elderly doesn't deserve to live among us.

Low life such as these should spend the next forty or fifty years behind bars. Instead, they'll get a few character witnesses to testify that they're just good boys from a good family who made a mistake, plea bargain and be sentenced to a couple of years in prison and several years of probation. What kind of justice is that?

Too bad these two aren't going to be eligible for the death penalty--that's what they deserve for the horrible death that they had planned for this woman. They are probably on drugs and not too bright, either. Even if they had succeeded in killing their victim, they would have been caught in no time.

There is no sense in this type of mess. The 75 year old woman worked hard all her life and these two punks just disrespect her as if she's nothing. Bring back the firing squad, its like dealing with a pit full of roaches, you have to call in an exterminator to get rid of the problem!! Ugh!
