Tropical Depression 2 was surrounded by desert air and has fallen apart because of it. The National Hurricane Center will no longer issue any advisories on the remnants of this system unless it reforms.

The depression's last location was about 500 miles east of the Leeward Islands. This system never reached tropical storm status so the name Bertha remains the next on the list to be used for an Atlantic basin storm.
