Where can we find historical data to show us the rainfall amounts for the month of May for the last 100 years in eastern North Carolina. This has to be one of the driest Mays on record for our area.

Shake you magic Rain Dance tamborine and chant your native American song/ceremony to the rain God. Would it help if I carved a Totem Pole? Maybe we could ship some of the water from the Mississippi River Basin...(I hear they have plenty)

Two years of the Obama Administration and two years straight of odd weather. God does not like what His children are following.

Two years of odd weather? How about at least 10. How long have you lived/visited often in ENC? I remember the cooler June summers on the Pamlico with a thunder storm rolling in just about every afternoon. The only time it was really hot & dry like this, aside from the day or two heat wave) was August. I remember my granny telling me we couldn't swim, because we were in the "dog days" of summer. The Pamlico River was so stagnant it was like taking a very warm bath. I still don't know why they're called dog days (google here I come). Then October rolled around and it started getting mostly cool. At least the mosquito problem isn't bad. lol BTW - I seriously doubt American politics is how the Alpha and the Omega would choose to show their disapproval.

It has been such odd weather for the past few years. The past 2 years we had the rainiest/snowiest winters in a long time and now we can't get a sprinkle. Whatever happened to "April showers bring May flowers?" TO WITN: Why has all of this changed from the way it used to be? Any thoughts on it? Stay cool everyone!
