The search is on for suspects who torched several American flags on Memorial Day.
Four American flags flying outside homes in New Hanover county were set on fire.
Brent Williams' flag was burned and the flames spread to his house.
He was shocked that anyone would burn a flag on a day meant to honor servicemen and women.
"It's amazing to me that someone would have the audacity to do something once on any given day of the year, much less Memorial Day when we are celebrating all the service men and women out there. To have the audacity to go through the neighborhood and setting fire along but on that day alone to actually go after the American flag is pretty incredible to me," said a victim of the vandalism Brent Williams.
Police are still looking for the suspects.
