It was a somber scene along the coast in New Hanover County Monday where the body of a missing 13-year-old boy was found after a 48-hour search.
Emergency response crews found Shandon Tyre Wright Junior at Carolina Beach State Park. Witnesses say the Pender County boy first went missing Saturday after struggling in the water. Wright's father and a young girl were with him at the time, but were unable to rescue him.
