NC Man Sentenced 40-years In Child Porn Case

A North Carolina man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison in a child pornography case in which a victim says she was also raped almost daily for nearly three years.

Fifty-four-year-old Daniel Nicholas Buczkowski was convicted in January of 27 federal counts of transportation of child pornography. A repair shop owner discovered the picture collection.

A statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office on Thursday says Buczkowski of Fayetteville was sentenced on Wednesday.

During the sentencing hearing, the abuse victim testified that Buczkowski had shown her child pornography from age 7 to age 10.

Buczkowski has also pleaded guilty to three state charges of first-degree rape, first-degree sexual offense and taking indecent liberties with children.

I totally agree with Ryan. The inmates will make certain that this man will have a life worse than he can imagine. Child rapists are not accepted in prison society. He probably will one day wish he could have been executed instead

It is an age old code that those in prison find internal retribution for meting out justice on those who harm children and women...

I see the death penalty as the only option that absolutely guarantees that there can be no further victims. With DNA evidence, there is no need for a trial. If data can be collaborated between 2 civilian and 1 government lab, an offender should be dead within 24 hours. Allowing offenders to live is uncivilized.

It seems that the problem is becoming worse.I quess they will be out on good bevavior in about 1/3 the time sentenced.Maybe life sentences should be mandatory.Thier was a time when rape was punishable as a capitol affense and judgent in the first was death.WHO KNOW's.Reformation isn't a solution.Maybe courts need to look at this problem in another way.

Brooksie, you are correct that it is too light. It should be a mandatory life sentence. It just shows how screwed up our system is though that he gets 40 years and Gould, who tried to kill his wife with a hammer, only gets 18-22 years. It's no wonder that people take justice into their own hands.

40 years is too light for this; I only hope he gets his true "sentence" in prison. This poor girl will pay for this forever!!!
