Highway Still Closed From High Water

High water from several inches of rain on Monday is causing road problems on Tuesday.

The NC Department of Transportation says NC-210 in Sneads Ferry near Chestnut St. is closed in both directions due to high water.

Dispatchers say, the DOT is unsure of when the roadway will be open again.

Some parts of the coast received eight to ten inches of rain on Monday, which has caused localized flooding.

Other roads that experienced problems Monday included Turkey Point Rd. in Holly Ridge, along with Green and Gray Streets in North Topsail Beach. Dispatchers say those flooded areas are open.
