Two Facing Drug Charges In Jones County

One sheriff's office is crediting an anonymous tip for helping them carrying out drug busts at two different places.

Forty-year-old Steven Jenkins of Cobb Road in Kinston and 33-year-old Melissa Rogers of Sunset Lane in Kinston are each facing several drug charges for marijuana, including possession and manufacturing.

The Jones County Sheriff's Office says both are out on bond and due in court next Friday, March 30.

These people should have moved to one of the other state were it's legal to grow and use. I my self say make it all legal in all states or make it illegal .Maybe Obama will make it legal under Obama care.

There's Eastern North Carolina, then there's Jones County NC. Went to a private school with fellow students from Jones County. Their parents wanted them OUT of Jones County. At that time, their schools were terrible. Their situation could do nothing but improve and hopefully it has over time. There is little more than agriculture in Jones County and a new Sheriff that looks just like Boss Hogg.

Little more than agriculture? Does that make it a county full of ignorant people? Without agriculture there is no America. Many of the world's most useful inventions came from farmers, rural Americans and people in agriculture. They haven't gotten people to accept mass produced fake food yet. Without agriculture there is no America. Believe it! ....and who cares what he looks like as long as he keeps the drugs off our streets.

Pretty sad what Jones County has turned into.

I'm curious as to why my comment in response to Anon @ 9:09 was not posted. I even provided URLs to support my statement, which is WAY more than anyone else usually does on the comments section. So once again, here it goes: Marijuana does not kill brain cells, in fact it actually stimulates brain cell regeneration, which scientists previously thought impossible. Click here for the truth.

You may be correct, but these two probably are not the best examples to use that bit of information on.

With little more than 10,000 people in Jones County, there just isn't much to do. At least they stopped crashing into farm equipment.

The most "age weary" people I've met drink alcohol daily. One drunk guy I know is 60 and his skin looks like an old football.
