Tree Caused Power Outage In Kinston

It turns out a tree is to blame for a power outage in Kinston.

Officials say a tree fell on a transmission line Sunday, knocking out power to 9,000 customers.

Power was out for two hours or more before the repair was complete.

About 30 people experienced another brief power outage when a fuse blew.

All electricity is restored.
