There's been yet another drive-by shooting in Kinston, the third one this week.
The latest happened Thursday afternoon in the 800 block of East Bright Street. Officers found three shell casings and one bullet broke an upstairs window of an apartment at 803 East King Street.
The shooting happened near a school and a Head Start center.
A witness told police he saw a man get into a gold Honda with three other men inside. No one was injured.
On Tuesday there were two drive-by shootings. The first happened around 10:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Thompson Street. A vehicle and a house were hit by the gunfire. That shooting happened about a block from an alternative school.
Then, about nine hours later shots were fired in the 800 block of Lincoln Street. In that shooting, one bullet came into the home through a window. At the time three people were inside and three outside on the porch. No one was hurt in that shooting either.
Police have not said if they believe the three shootings are related or not.
