With any threat of inclement weather, people race to the grocery store for those last minute necessities. This week's storm is no different.
We talked with some shoppers and workers at the Piggly Wiggly in Kinston.
The store manager tells us he's seen more people come through his doors compared to the snow from last week.
People were emptying the shelves of storm staples like bread, eggs, and milk in case of a prolonged stay indoors.
A store stocker said milk shelves were full earlier today and had to re-stock them around lunchtime.
Store manager Patrick Delaney says people have taken more precaution as this storm comes through the area. He says everyone's getting out. They want to be proactive. If we get that much snow around here it kind of cripples the town and they don't want to be on the roads.
We also checked out one of the Food Lion stores in Washington. It's bread shelf needed restocked as well Monday night, wiped out from shoppers getting storm ready.
Delaney says not to worry about running out of bread, milk, and eggs. He says the Piggly Wiggly is well stocked in anticipation of the storm.
