The Lenoir County Sheriff's Office is investigating what's believed to be a meth lab inside a home and searching for the person who lives there.
Lenoir County Sheriff Chris Hill says deputies and narcotics investigators have been on the scene of what appears to be a meth making operation at 2879 Tyndall Williams Road, Deep Run since about 8:15 a.m. Thursday, after receiving a tip that meth production had been occurring in the home.
Investigators say they have already seen significant evidence on the exterior of the home that meth was being produced or had been produced very recently.
The SBI has been called to the home to take possession of any and all meth making materials and to destroy those products.
The Sheriff's Office is now looking for a suspect and resident of the home identified as 35-year-old Donald R. Page III.
