Many students will start taking their end of grade tests next week and one school in the east decided a pep rally was the best way to kick things off.
Students at Rochelle Middle School in Kinston were definitely getting pumped up at the pep rally.
A motivational speaker was also brought in to speak to the students.
EOG's are important because they show how students and teachers are doing each year. School officials say they are doing everything they can to push their students to do well.
Next week many middle schoolers in the state will begin their EOG tests, and then high schoolers begin the first week in June.
